Located in the heart of the city of Gunnison on US Highway 50, the historic building originally was known as City Lodging, and began operation as a hotel in 1880. This makes it one of the oldest continuously-operated hotels in the State of Colorado. The Columbine Victorian boasts charming decor, rooms and suites with tall ceilings and Western Victorian furnishings. Mini-suite choices include custom cowhide western sleeper sofas and armchairs, French Quarter or Victorian style pencil post, rice carved, sleigh or spindle beds, doubles or queens, all with tasteful linens, goose down comforters, cable TV, mini frig, and microwave. Each room boasts variant color accents: pillow shams, duvets, area rugs, Victorian furniture and Victorian lighting of the "Gone With the Wind" era. Famous western characters, beautiful Victorian ladies decorate rooms and hallways. Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge on site.
